Tomato Plant and Internet Updates

May 25, 2010

I have not been keeping my 3 posts a week promise.  Not even close. To rectify this situation, I’ve done something dramatic.  I have FINALLY SIGNED UP FOR THE INTERNET.

Yes, it is the year 2010 and yes, I am one of the only people I know who doesn’t have internet access in their home.  It has been moderately inconvenient at times, and certainly would have been more so if not for the plentiful number of coffee shops around my house with free wi-fi, and the advantages of a certain purple smart phone (thanks Mom).  But as of tomorrow, if all goes according to plan, we will have it all.  Hulu access to Glee?  Yes please!  The ability to look up recipes.com without waiting for my phone to find the network?  Woo hoo!  But most importantly of all (to me), I will be able to blog at home, whenever I fancy.  Night time blogging, dinner blogging, blogging in the bathtub (admittedly ill-advised and thus unlikely to happen)… all are within my grasp. BE PREPARED.

In the meantime, things continue to grow, food continues to be prepared, and life continues to be good.  I took advantage of the beautiful weather to pot two new tomato plants, and trellis all three.  Plus, my wonderful mother gave us a little herb garden!  I put my homegrown fresh basil in a pasta dish last night and felt a new obsession begin.  This Saturday I plan on inundating the deck with pots of herbs. Oh foodie delight!

Patio, looking glorious.

Greeny, getting grander!

Goldy, growing slowly.

And the herbs!

More after what will hopefully be a debacle free internet installation tomorrow….
